People need to realize first of all we are not serving man that mean the Pastor or the President, but we are serving God Almighty. Therefore, there is no competition. Further more the President has a right to his own "PERSONAL OPINION" in which we all do. Now, that he support something that some of us disagree with he now considered "The First Gay President". The Bible says to JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE NOT JUDGE. So we need to let people live their lives and let God handle His business. We just need to continue to be that beacon light without judging. BE BLESSED

I'll admit to not having watched Mase's interview on the Theological Baloney Network, but my understanding, too, is that he preached from a scripturally heterodox word-of-faith perspective, so wouldn't it be a wash if he continues to preach a biblically unfounded philosophy of material prosperity or raps from the same mindset without the spiritual justification? Am thinking so.

If Bill Clinton can be called the first "black" president, why not Obama as the first sodomy-identified one? It was intended as no insult to Slick Willie to be referenced as an "honorary" American of African descent (by actual black people, no less!), and since the current prez apparently sees nothing wrong with biblically abominated sexual identification and practice (though, in the interest of intellectual honesty, it should be noted that BHO's flip-flopped on the issue ever since he was an Illinois state senator), it's fair enough for his supporters to call him the first 'mo commander in chief, yes?

If Bryant is exemplary of a majority of purportedly Christian black pastors, what a damnable shame! Why haven't clergy such as Bryant ever questioned Obama's voluble support for Klanned Barrenhood, killers of more black babies (and every other color) in greater numbers than the KKK ever has, Barry and Michelle's involvement with racist/socialist/black/supremacist/hyprocrite of a "pastor," Jeremiah Wright (who himself hangs with and encourages utter heretic, even by Islamic standards, Louie Farrakhan), his infamous "guns and religion" insult to Christian people who hapen to support Second Amendment rights (not to mention his diminution of Christian rights and increasing deference to Islam, to the ploint of creating fledgling U.S. shariah under Obama),and advocacy of programs that take away incentive to capitalist productivity? And it took the Chocolate Jesus' siding with the idea of sodomite marrirage for a mook such as Bryant to even QUESTION the president?! Really?! And why's it that I hear of so few black pastors remark upon thre INCREASE in black unemployment under Obama?
Yolanda, your constant apologetics for inarguably the most anti-Christian prez in the nation's history's tiresome as 'tis predictable as 'tis troubling, and the weaksauce mutterings of hirelings such as Bryant continue to indict the majority of the black professedly Christian church as spiritually ineffectual and biblically laughable.

Nowhere in
my comments does it say that any other sins were okay or acceptable. I simply
answered the question asked, which dealt with the issue of homosexuality. And I
still say that I will not support work that furthers homosexual agenda. There
is no sin greater than another. It is equally wrong to fornicate, lye, steal, murder,
etc. And we all have done one of these on more than one occasion. So does that
mean we should promote stealing, lying, fornicating, and murder? No. So let’s
not have right or wrong and let’s let people kill, steal and destroy each
other. We want people to accept our sin, and when someone doesn’t, we want to
find fault by being wrongly critical. The bible provides guidance, instruction and
sets limitations to protect us and for our good; otherwise, we would live in
chaos (without order). I agree with the bible to disapprove of (or as you so
politely pointed out, condemn) all of these sins. In the same respect, I do the
same with homosexuality…making no differences. There is a difference in condemning
the person and the sin. I am not and cannot condemn (or disapprove of) her, but
I can condemn (or disapprove of) the things she does because that’s what the
Word says. I love her and you too. I know there are people in your life whom
you love but have not always agreed with them, their choices or the things they’ve
done. Does that mean you no longer love them or support them? You might support
them but not that thing you disapprove of. For example, if someone you love
(say your mother since Mother’s Day is tomorrow) steals from you or lies to
you, do you not love her anymore? You still love her, but you don’t agree with or
approve of what she did or said, right? Let me say it again, would I see a
movie she’s acting in? I might, but not one that seeks to promote homosexuality
or any other sin. That goes for her work and any other person’s work (the key
word here is “work” not the person). It
is the sin that I am judging and not her. We can agree to disagree. I love and
appreciate you. Thanks for the open dialogue.

Constance. I'm careful not to be swayed by the world nor the things of this world. I know what is God's law on homosexuality from the Old Testament through the New Testament. I believe in the Word of God. According to 1st Corth. Chpt.6 v. 12. All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. This is the Apostle Paul's writing to the Corinthians in the Holy Bible.

If we don't line our ideas up with His ideas, then we are surely wrong...yes, God will be the final judge so we must ensure that we do all we can to support His Word and His Way not the world's. I am a Christian and I believe in the Holy Bible, and read it. I know this that God said in His word,"Judge ye not or less you be judged". This is the President's opinion, and I didn't hear him say make it a Law. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. President Obama gave his opinion ONLY! Those who have judged him, be careful when God says"Judge ye not!" Those who have called the President not being Christian, and calling him a Muslim, again judging which those have no right to judge, will stand in condemnation. I want judge! Everyone has to stand before and give an account of all that was done here on earth. The word of God says,"Love one another as I have you." God will judge all! I'm sure that the President reads his Bible as we do. Remember if we are children of God, we are to show love for each other. We know that God hates sin.

Cool. Which verse and chapter? In the book of Isaiah, Verse 33 chapter 22, it says for the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. I quote that scripture because what I'm trying to say is the Lord is the only one to judge. The Bible clearly states other sins as well. He who is without sin cast the first stone, but yet the majority of people on this post are judging, they have hate in their heart and will point out homosexuality as if it's the only sin. It's not. That's totally fine for you not to support her because that's your decision, but what about your other favorite celebs that sin by lying, stealing, committing adultery, fornication etc, will you not support them either or is it just a personal feeling towards gays? I heard what you said, but I honestly doubt you would disown other sinners who you favor. Being gay is a big problem in the world, but other sins, to the world, are not seen as being wrong. If you enjoyed her work, you more than likely seen and supported something she did, but you may not be a number fan, but you are a fan of her projects. That's the reality. So basically what you're saying is that you're not a fan, but you watch flms that she's a part of? So, there is no lost in her pocket if you don't support her anymore because it seems like you never was supporting her, but a member of the cast. You just went to see a mve and it so happens that she was in the mve, but you didn't go to c her? That's what getting from your reply. Also, condemnation is to disapprove, so for you to stop supporting her you are disapproving of her personal ways. That might be kind of hard for you because everyone has or will sin. It doesn't make God any happy when you push one sinner away and allow the others in your presence. And you're welcome.

Being a Christian is something so much more different than in "back n the day" for many that I see nowaday's. I work with them and they are just as trifling, mean, selfish and backbiting as what they term as "sinners"...I have even heard some of them curse but they do go to church and walk around with the chip on the shoulder. "The Gospel Business" is nothing more than what it say's.."Business"...I listen to gospel and don't know whether to start doing the "stanky leg" or lightin the candles and pouring a bottle of wine to get my groove on". Megachurches are nothing more than social clubs and we all know about the leaders that lead the flock and their drama of prostitution, gay acts, money laudering etc....
So..in retrospect, as we move forward in the black community and deal with our music and our churches, the lines between "secular' and "sacred" become more and more blurred for the sake of the all mighty dollar...Many times I wonder if it's too late to go back where a life of Christianity and Secular were not so blurred..
